Underneath that reason is nothing more than an excuse. “I’m not ready”, “I’m too busy”, “There’s so much to do before…” Which of these have you used?

Perfectionism and procrastination come from feeling overwhelmed or even worse, like a fraud. Yes, this is generally where the imposter syndrome likes to grow legs and run away with your mind.

Underneath all that drama is the fear of failure. If you are being held accountable, life could be completely different.

Simple: be accountable to someone.

Now, I’m not talking about a partner, parent or friend. You know the people you love far too well, especially how to get them to overlook your non-action! I’m talking here about getting solid real results that last.

For that, you need someone who has your best interests at heart and won’t take your excuses. Someone who is both firm and fair. Someone who has a trick or two up their sleeve to help you drop drama and excuses…

Yes, you guessed right, an accountability coach or mentor.

So often we ignore this little gem. The thinking behind celebrating success is quite sound.

Think of professional sports people. When they are shooting for the goal, they are visualising the ball in the net. Their entire being; mind, body and soul, all focused on ‘ball in the net’. They shoot, they score and then you see it…

Fist pumps, hugs, laughter – a celebration of success!

How you celebrate success is up to you. When you celebrate successes small and large, the brain produces ‘happy hormones’. You feel good. You like the feeling.

The body wants more happy hormones so you look for new ways to put the ball in the net again. Guess what… the more you try, the sooner you score another goal!

Success. Celebrate. Success – see the pattern?

Your accountability coach will hold you to those successes. They’ll help you see the learning so you can apply what works again and again.

The result?

Real, long-lasting results. A productive happy you. Productive happy clients. What more could you want?
