How to know if you are making the ‘right’ choice in 5 simple steps…

Am I doing the right thing?’ How many times have you asked yourself this question over the last few months?

More than once I’ll bet!

Just last month I wrote about how I realised I needed to learn how to ‘sell’ myself in a different way. By the time the blog was posted, I was already wondering if I had done the right thing.

You may find you are questioning something different – either way, there is a way to work out if you’ve made the right choice.

Interested? Read on…

Let’s take a few steps back first though: Having spoken with so many experts in the past, I was so confused about the direction to take my business, what the most appropriate support was and so on.

Every expert had a different take on things which meant a different path, formula and a ‘to do’ list longer than my 5ft 2 body! Once again, I found myself saying ‘enough’.

It was time to work out what was right for me. I kept coming back to one word, ‘how?’ Through the turmoil, these five simple steps helped me no end. The magic is in their simplicity!

Are you ready for them?

Step 1: Meditate

Yes, you read right. Take a few minutes for yourself in the morning and evening. Get yourself in a comfortable space, free of distractions and breathe gently for two minutes.

Follow your breathing pattern and focus on only on that.

Once you feel calmer, focus on connecting with your wise teacher/highest self/God/Source – whichever way works for you is the best!

Now ask for direction and guidance. Let the answer come.

That quiet still voice that lives at the back of your head, the one you regularly ignore… that’s the one… that is your wise teacher!

Set your intentions and share your final destination with your teacher. Let the quiet voice fill in the blanks for you.

Listen to what that quiet voice is telling you. It’s your intuition at its best.

Step 2: Act on your own intuition

No matter how freaky or weird the advice is, take action on what your intuition is telling you. It’s the best advice possible.

If you are told to go buy your groceries – do that. You never know who you will meet at the tills! You don’t know what you will hear whilst checking out the oranges…

Recently I spoke about connecting with the ‘wrong’ person whilst following my intuition to ask for help. Turns out she is now my sales coach and within 24 hours of our first session, I landed a new client!

How much more right, could right be!

Yes, simply by following my intuition and acting on it, I found the support I need and the means to pay for it in one. Yes, you can too, awesome!

Step 3: Commit to your decision

So, you have a number of choices, what to do then? Look at your list, whittle it down and get a feel for the priority choices. Pick one and commit to it!

Place your stake in the ground and go for it. Soon enough you will know if you made the right choice. If it is easy and flows smoothly – it’s right!

You don’t have to feel the ‘pain is gain’ method any longer. If your decision is simple, pleasurable and you get joy from it, it’s right for you.

That happy coincidence of meeting my sales coach has made such a huge difference to me and my future clients in a short amount of time, I am so glad I committed to what my intuition advised me.

Step 4: Review and amend

Now you are on the right path, it is prudent to review and amend as you go along. Test the waters, make sure things are going the way you want them to.

Check your results against the intentions you set in step 1. Are you progressing as expected? No, then amend what you are doing.

Finding what works for you is all about trial and error. That is a great thing!

As Lily Tomlin said ‘The road to success is always under construction’.

Your life, business, and things will never be 100% perfect. There is always room to adjust, use it!

Step 5: Give thanks and celebrate

Once you have seen your particular choice through to the logical conclusion. Show gratitude to your wise teacher, family, friends and those who have supported you along the way.

Whether the decision has been right or wrong for you, you have learned new things. You have had an experience.

No experience is wasted. Trust me, I have learned this the hard way!

To take your decisions to the next level, try an act of gratitude.

Giving thanks for what you have achieved gives you the foundations to receive more of what you want! Yes, gratitude for what you have increases the supply – amazing isn’t it?

A celebration of your successes provides you with the motivation and determination to move forward. It also allows for more gratitude and appreciation to grow within you and for you.

Are you now ready to make that decision you have been putting off?

Go on, you can do it with ease now!
